Anthracite Films proudly announces the launch of its crowdfunding campaign on the popular website Indiegogo (www.indiegogo.com) to raise additional funds enabling filmmaker Michael James Kacey to complete the interviews for his feature length documentary “HEARING VOICES: How Radio Changed America & America Changed Radio,” currently in production.
Interviews to date have included Larry King, Wink Martindale, Washington Post senior editor and author Marc Fisher, Norman Lloyd, Marsha Hunt, Art Linkletter, Dick Van Patten, Norman Corwin, and John Astin among others.
The Indiegogo campaign runs for 30 days starting on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 and ends on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. The campaign seeks to raise at least $30,000.
Anthracite Films, which has previously produced Kacey’s debut feature “Daybreak” and “The Poet Laureate of Radio: An Interview with Norman Corwin,” is a production company based in Culver City, CA.
“HEARING VOICES: How Radio Changed America & America Changed Radio” examines the evolution of radio as a mass medium, comparing how it is mirrored by the rapid rise of the Internet. As we will see, radio once had many voices and they have grown fewer and fewer. Is this the same fate for the Internet? From the Golden Age of Radio to today: the Evolution of Radio meets the Revolution of the Internet.
